My Dear Fellow Toastmasters,
It has truly been an honor to serve as your President. This has not been the easiest term as we experienced a decline in club interest and involvement, but it has definitely been a year of hope and growth. We have fresh, motivated members and the buzz about our club is building!
Thanks to Cheryl Mason's dedication to the club, she kept us all involved and encouraged everyone (including me) to keep moving on the path of growth and improvement. That is why Cheryl is the perfect person to take over the office of President. I know she will keep us on track and that we will continue to ride the wave of success we are starting to build.
I am looking forwarding to serving the club in new ways and to help Cheryl and the other officers continue to grow our amazing club. Please join me in welcoming and supporting our new Toastmasters President.
Thank you,
Michelle Lyon, CC

At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once a week for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.
